Fall Foundation Days
Monday, August 25 from 8:00am-3:00pm and Tuesday, August 26 from 12:00-7:00pm
Fall Foundation Days are designed to give families a chance to meet with teachers in a more personal setting, time to complete important paperwork, and turn in any medications students will be taking at school. It is also a chance for teachers to connect with students and gather some important data that will inform the start of the school year. Every family should make an appointment by signing up at ptcfast.com/schools/NewCitySchool.

Back To School Night
Join us Thursday, August 21, from 5:00-7:00 PM to meet your child’s Crew Leader, visit classrooms, check out local club/extracurricular opportunities, and to connect with other New City Families. Please bring classroom supplies (see lists attached) and supplies donation funds to your child’s classroom this evening. For 1st-8th grade families, this is a pop-in/Open House-style event. KG families should show up at 5:00pm for their program.
Kindergarten Families:
5:00-5:30: Teachers, Nicole and Caroline’s information session
5:30-5:45: KGers have the opportunity to take a ride on a school bus around the block!
New City Circle Meeting
Join our monthly in-person Circle Meeting; snacks & child care are provided.
Pancake Bingo Fundraiser
This super-fun event is a New City staple!
Pancakes • Bingo • Prizes • Gluten-free & pork-free options available
Staff Appreciation Week
The New City Community will work together to provide a daily “thank you!” to all of the staff at New City. Below is the breakdown of what we’re planning for each day:
MUFFIN MONDAY - Muffins, and other baked goods, will be available in the staff lounge.
WELLNESS BOOST - Reiki, scalp massage, hand/foot massage, or guided breathwork with Leah (New City Parent)
COFFEE BAR - Mid week pick me up with a coffee bar in the staff lounge
CANDLE DAY - Snag an aromatic candle, handmade by the students
TACO BAR - Staff will end the week with a delicious lunch - tacos with all the fixings!
If you would like to volunteer to bring any of the following supplies for teacher appreciation week, please email the New City Circle group to let them know to expect your donation!
Baked Goods
Coffee Supplies - Cold brew, creams, sugar, espresso beans, tea, whipped cream
Taco Supplies - Meat or toppings, paper plates and bowls
